BECCA SCHAEFER
|
Becca is not your typical millennial. Most U.S. millennials know the U.S. and maybe Canada, Mexico or the cruise destinations in the Caribbean. The extent of their world knowledge might stretch to the World Showcase at Epcot in Walt Disney World.
Becca, on the other hand, has been to 21 countries since she started traveling internationally at the age of 13. Today, Becca is a 28 year old professional wanderluster, foodie, and culture fanatic. Becca’s first foray into the world of travel was at the age of 4 years old when she flew to Colorado with her mom. When she was 5, she started flying between California and Idaho to see her grandparents during school breaks. Over multiple summers and winter breaks, her grandparents fueled the wanderlust spark in their RV, taking her to national parks, monuments and historic sites. Becca has been traveling and dreaming of far off places ever since. Attending Western Kentucky University had her living and working with international students, which sparked an intense desire to learn more about other cultures, something that would tie into her undergraduate honors thesis. She knew when she graduated college she wanted to see as much of the world as possible, which led her to the “professional wanderluster” title she gives herself today. Between her degree (Corporate & Organizational Communication), her years of travel, and her past job in the travel industry, Becca is well equated to be the Social Media Manager for Ships 'N' Trips Travel. |
