We understand the importance and challenges of fund-raising in the current economy, and appreciate that the continued success of non-profit organizations depends on the hard work of dedicated people and the generosity of contributors. As a vital extension of our tradition of supporting charities, we have developed two programs that can enhance the fund-raising efforts of non-profits. With these programs much needed funds can be raised for charity while at the same time giving supporters all the wonderful memories of an unforgettable vacation experience. With these programs, we do most of the work, while charities reap the benefits.
Group Travel Program
Fundraising group travel often can earn charitable donations up to $300 per passenger. As few as 10 passengers in 5 rooms may qualify as a group depending on the cruise line or tour operator policies. We work with individual charities to pick the right itinerary for their group, to add value for supporters joining the group (such as group amenities, private gatherings, etc.), and to set a per-room or per-person amount to be donated to the charity after the travel is completed.
How much can be raised?
Anywhere from $25 to $600 per room in the group (that travels) can be raised for the participating charity. As an example, a group that makes $500 per room for the charity with 20 rooms (40 passengers) traveled would be a $10,000 total donation. The exact donation amount is based on:
What costs are involved?
In most scenarios there is no cost to the non-profit organization. If they do want to provide amenities or activities that involve a fee, we will work with them to cover those costs (i.e. through sponsorship opportunities).
In some scenarios, where we would be blocking a large number of staterooms at the charity’s request, there may be a FULLY REFUNDABLE $50 per berth/spot (or per room, depending on the supplier) required by the supplier. We work with the charity to identify these costs, work out possible options (like getting sponsors), etc.
What’s the “catch”?
There really is no “catch.” There is little or no financial risk to the nonprofit organization. The success of the group is ultimately up to the charity, and how much they can promote the group to supporters and donors. The more passengers that book into the group space, the more of a donation we garner for the charity.
We can provide a private customized page on our website for the group, we can create customized materials (i.e. PDF flyers) for distribution via email and website links, and we can also create material to be included in email blasts. Only if someone wants to PRINT flyers for distribution might the charity incur some minor costs.
We will go over all options available with the charity’s representatives to help maximize the fundraising opportunity, while minimizing their financial and labor commitments.

Non-profit organizations can contact us to set up a customized donation program. Typically we create a customized web page just for their group that they can link to from their own website, Facebook page, Twitter, newsletters, email blasts, etc.
When a supporter calls us to book travel, they simply mention the non-profit organization that referred them during their initial call, and we make a donation to the charity after their travel is completed. We send out checks once every quarter, for all travel completed in the past 3 months.
It is that simple.
