What is a Honeymoon Registry?
A honeymoon registry works much like any other wedding registry out there. At any given store you can go through and pick items you would like as wedding gifts. However, today so many couples already have everything they need (sheets, towels, blenders, toasters, plates, silverware, etc.). So when they go into a store to set up a registry, they really don't have much they need (or want) to include on their registry.
With a honeymoon registry, once you've booked your honeymoon, you can set up a registry for those extra items you would like to add on, but maybe can't afford to pay for yourself. Or, you can simply have people pay towards your general honeymoon costs.
What if we don't raise enough to cover the cost of our honeymoon?
We always suggest booking the honeymoon that you can afford to pay for yourself. Use a honeymoon registry for upgrades or to have extra items added on. That way you ensure you can afford to pay off your honeymoon even if your registry falls short.
What types of things can we include in our honeymoon registry?
Pretty much you're limited only by your own imagination. Once we have your honeymoon booked, we can go over all of the options that you can include in a registry. For example, let's say you book an all-inclusive resort honeymoon package. You can put the following items on your registry (assuming they are offered by the resort you have booked): a candlelit dinner for two on the beach;, a couples' massage or other spa treatments, private transfers between the airport and resort, limousine transfers, room upgrades, airfare upgrades, etc. You can also allow people to pay towards your honeymoon costs, reducing the amount you will have to pay at final payment.
What does a honeymoon registry cost?
We provide registries as a complimentary services to our honeymoon couples.
If the gift can be charged directly by a supplier (i.e. paying for a sightseeing tour) then there are no processing fees for doing so.
If we have to process the credit card payment ourselves, and not through a supplier, there is a 5% fee for processing payments. You can set this up to be charged to the gift-giver or to come out of the gift (in essence being paid by you). For example, if someone wanted to pay $100 towards your honeymoon we either charge them $105 and you get $100 of that paid towards your honeymoon; or we charge them $100 and $95 is credited towards your honeymoon. There are no other charges or fees involved.
What is included in a honeymoon registry?
We create a single webpage for you, listing all of the items you would like for your honeymoon and their associated costs. You can then share that link with everyone you wish. On the webpage we include all of your pertinent information (bride and groom names, wedding date and location, and just the basic honeymoon information) as well as appropriate pictures. Once you depart for your honeymoon we deactivate the page so it will no longer be accessible.
What if we get more in gifts than our honeymoon costs?
Once your honeymoon is paid in full, and any add-on items have all been purchased, if we continue to get inquiries about contributing to your honeymoon we will give the gift-givers one of two options:

- they can give you a check gift directly (which we would encourage at that point, to avoid the payment processing fee)
- or they can still have us process their credit card (with the processing fee assessed) and we an distribute funds to you via check. We distribute checks once a month, with a breakdown of who gifted what amounts.
